O Wind

An abstract

O Wind, O gentle wind
That whispers to the trees
Won’t you whisper to me
A lullaby of flowers and leaves?

O Wind, O wailing wind
That caresses the waves
Won’t you touch my face
And speak of mermaids and fish tails?

O Wind, O mighty wind
That blows and roars
Won’t you bear me on your wings
To lands afar, o’er mountains high and valleys deep?

O Wind, O soft and sweet
That refreshing fragrant sweeps
Won’t you gently sift
The worrisome burden lift?
