Across the skies it thundered into a spectacular ball of fire,
Upon the earth it hurtled into a blazing human pyre.
The clouds dense, the mountains dark – the smoke billowed across the mile,
The rocket had hit its mark – the charred singed bodies pile
Justice seeks to live in Peace – yet justice kills per se
The law of Peace sadly amiss – as justice pays heed to hearsay
The vicious cycle gathers speed – when shall the fury abate?
Retaliation and revenge wailing plead – will Peace be gained sedate?
Who will bear the tidings sweet? Who will across the borders gather?
Who will across the tables meet? – raise a toast “End to War “ rather?
If not you, the Hand that hurls the missile? If not you, the Hand that draws the sword?
It can but stop – If YOU dared.
It can but stop – If YOU willed.
It can but stop – If YOU truly loved.
A call for peace…the need of the hour. Beautifully written Yudith 💕

Saddens my heart to see the consequences borne by innocents, especially children. Thank you Sailaja.
